Parent involvement is one of the most important parts of our Freedom High School NJROTC program.
Volunteers help create a positive, safe, and successful experience for our cadets at events, competitions, and community activities.
Your time and participation show cadets that teamwork, service, and leadership extend beyond the classroom.

There are two main types of parent volunteering opportunities: Regular Volunteering and Overnight Volunteering.

Regular volunteering includes helping during school-day events, parades, fundraisers, inspections, and drill or academic competitions.
These activities do not require overnight travel and are an excellent way for parents to stay involved and support the unit.

Examples of Regular Volunteer Roles:

• Assisting during ceremonies, inspections, and local events

• Helping set up or serve at fundraisers and award banquets

• Coordinating refreshments, logistics, or transportation

• Supporting community service and school-based projects

Your help allows instructors to focus on training and mentoring while ensuring events run smoothly. Every volunteer effort contributes directly to the success of our cadets and our program.

Every NJROTC event—whether it’s a local ceremony or a regional competition—depends on the help of parents like you.
Your support makes it possible for our cadets to grow as leaders, represent Freedom High School with pride, and build lifelong skills in service and teamwork.
